Wootton Vale & Shortstown

Welcome to our new surgery website – we hope you find it useful

Shortstown Surgery & Wootton Vale – REOPENING – Tuesday 7th May!

Shortstown Surgery and Wootton Vale reopen, as normal, at 08:00am on Tuesday 7th May.

However, we continue to experience extremely high levels of staff sickness due to an outbreak of COVID. We therefore ask that you bear with us at this difficult time and help us manage demand by contacting us, only if you need URGENT medical care. Due to the levels of absence, we will be unable to offer as many face-to-face appointments but, we have several staff members, recovering from COVID, who are working remotely from home, who can offer telephone appointments. We anticipate restoring normal services as the week progresses, and our staff recover and start to test negative for COVID.

Local and NHS services

The surgery works in partnership with local and NHS service providers and groups.

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.
